Hotel Towadaso

Hotel Towadaso is a large ryokan located about a five-minute walk from the shores of Lake Towada, with the Lake Towada sightseeing boat pier also close by. There are two Lake Towada cruise routes, and the recommended option is the "Ogura / Nakayama Peninsula Loop," which returns to the same pier. Hotel Towadaso is located in the Towadako Lakeside Onsen area and offers two large public baths—one with a traditional Japanese style and one with an ancient-temple-inspired design—enjoyed on a rotating men’s/women’s schedule. The hot spring is said to be beneficial for issues such as neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, and frozen shoulder. Guest rooms are mainly Japanese-style, but you can also choose Western-style rooms with beds or Japanese-Western rooms that combine a bed space with a tatami room. Depending on your plan, dinner may let you choose local specialties such as Hachinohe senbei-jiru, Towada bara-yaki, or Oirase garlic pork. As additional paid orders, you can also request items like A5-grade Towadako Wagyu and Aomori Shamorock chicken. There is also a karaoke snack bar, which is ideal for groups who want to have fun together. An on-site shop sells souvenirs from Aomori and Akita, making it a helpful option if you forgot to buy gifts elsewhere.
