Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu Hotel

Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu Hotel is the only hotel built along the banks of the Oirase Stream. In the lobby, a massive fireplace artwork by Taro Okamoto titled "Forest Mythology" is especially striking. Rooms facing the stream allow guests to enjoy views of Oirase Keiryu even while indoors, and some rooms include open-air baths where you can soak while looking out over the flowing water. For those who prefer not to use large communal baths, these rooms can be a good option. The hotel also has a stream-view open-air bath, which transforms into a unique experience from December to March: a Japan-first open-air bath surrounded by ice. The hotel’s hot spring is a simple spring said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, and joint pain. Dinner is served buffet-style with many apple-based dishes such as "apple and chicken cream stew." Breakfast includes fresh-pressed apple juice and made-to-order omelets prepared in front of you. Seasonal activities are so extensive that even a multi-night stay may not be enough to experience everything. Access includes a free shuttle bus (reservation required at least 3 days before the stay) from several points such as JR Hachinohe Station, JR Aomori Station, JR Shin-Aomori Station (service suspended Nov 9–Mar), and Aomori Airport (service suspended Nov 9–Mar). If the shuttle is full, an alternative is to take the JR Bus Tohoku "Oirase" route from JR Hachinohe Station (about 1 hour 30 minutes) and walk about 1 minute from the "Yakeyama" bus stop.
