Tosu Studium

Tosu Stadium is the home ground of the J.League soccer club Sagan Tosu and is also known as “Ekimae Real Estate Stadium” (nickname: Eki-Sta). It is a three-story ball-sports stadium (no running track), with a natural grass field of about 100,000 square meters and seating capacity for 24,130 spectators. Opened in 1996, it features Japan’s first fully steel-frame spectator stands; the support pillars are designed with a motif inspired by a slender bronze sword from the Yayoi period excavated in Tosu City, giving the stadium a distinctive look. Main events include soccer, rugby, and lacrosse—primarily ball sports since there is no track. Access: by public transportation, it is extremely convenient—about a 3-minute walk from JR Tosu Station (JR Kagoshima Main Line / Nagasaki Main Line) via the “Niji no Hashi” pedestrian bridge, as the station is adjacent. By car, it is about 10 minutes from Tosu IC on the Kyushu Expressway. On event days it becomes very crowded, so using public transportation is generally recommended.
