Busena Marine Park
Busena Marine Park is a marine park in Nago City, Okinawa, featuring an Underwater Observation Tower. From Cape Busena, you walk across a 170 m sea bridge to the tower; at about 5 m underwater, the tower has 360-degree circular windows that let you look into the coral sea and watch colorful tropical fish—like a “Dragon Palace” scene. A glass-bottom boat service is also available; the whale-shaped boat takes you out to sea so you can peer down at the seabed. During the roughly 20-minute cruise, you can feel one with the ocean—an easy “underwater stroll.” In Okinawa’s clear waters, even small children can see fish like clownfish and Moorish idols up close without diving. The west coast of the cape, where the tower stands, is part of the Busena Resort and has a beach. A free shuttle bus runs conveniently between the beach and the glass-bottom boat pier. Access: about 90 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Free parking for up to 200 cars is available.
