Road Station Kyoda Yanbaru Bussan Center
Michi-no-Eki Kyoda (Yanbaru Product Center) is a roadside station on National Route 58 in Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is Okinawa’s first roadside station. Considered the gateway to Yanbaru tourism, it attracts about 1.5 million visitors annually. It has a large parking lot for about 130 cars, making it easy to stop by. Okinawan produce is cheerful just to look at, and you can also ship purchases from here—so you can buy without worrying about carrying things home. Besides souvenirs, there is also a food corner with Okinawan specialties such as Okinawa soba, tacos, sata andagi, choco mochi, and ebizu; be sure to try some Okinawan side dishes. Takeout is also possible. Because it’s built along the coast, if you go up to the second floor you can see far out to sea. The staff have an approachable, “Okinawan mom” warmth that can make you feel at home. Access is by getting off at the “Michi-no-Eki Kyoda” bus stop on the Yanbaru Express Bus—right there.
