Asahi Breweries Hakata Factory

Asahi Beer Hakata Brewery is an Asahi Beer factory in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City that is popular as a sightseeing spot offering factory tours. After the tour, visitors can enjoy beer along with barbecue or jingisukan (grilled lamb) at the adjacent Asahi Beer Garden. The free tour takes about 90 minutes and typically includes: watching Asahi Beer’s initiatives in a screening room, touching the main raw ingredients, observing the brewing and maturation processes at the Brewery Plaza, seeing filtration rooms and bottling/canning lines, and finally tasting freshly made beer. You can ask staff questions throughout, helping you understand beer more deeply. There is also a shop where you can buy novelty goods. Even if you usually only drink beer, seeing how it is made can give you a fresh perspective and enhance enjoyment. Children can have juice, so families can enjoy it too. Access is about a 3-minute walk from Takeshita Station.
