Uminonakamichi Seaside Park
Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is a national government-run park in Fukuoka City. It features outdoor facilities such as an amusement area, campgrounds, orienteering courses, and an outdoor theater, and it boasts a vast area of about 539.3 hectares. The main attraction is the Sunshine Pool (six pools), which draws many families in summer. In the flower and lawn areas, roses and nemophila bloom in abundance, while the nature-experience area lets visitors interact with small animals (including a stag-beetle and rhinoceros-beetle house in summer). In the Hakata Bay area, you can enjoy a dog run and day camping. There is also a youth maritime lodge, and the resort area includes an aquarium, the Hotel The Luigans, and a port rest house. The park offers activities such as woodworking workshops, birdwatching, and bicycle rentals. Events are held regularly, so there’s something to enjoy whenever you visit. Restaurants are located within the park, making it easy to spend a full day even without bringing anything. Access is right by JR Kashii Line “Uminonakamichi Station.” Because it’s by the sea, it can also be reached by water routes.
