NACK5 Stadium Omiya
NACK5 Stadium Omiya is Japan’s first soccer-specific stadium, built in 1964. Originally named Omiya Park Soccer Stadium, it became NACK5 Stadium Omiya after FM NACK5 acquired the naming rights, and it is now affectionately known as “NACK” in Saitama. Today it serves as the home stadium of J.League club Omiya Ardija, with orange seats in the team’s signature color and a close-up atmosphere that makes it a sacred place for fans thanks to the short distance to the players. The stadium has a capacity of 15,600 including standing areas, and the name of this soccer stadium is also used in Captain Tsubasa. The surrounding area features plenty of food spots and shops, as well as nearby Hikawa Shrine, making the location itself rich with sightseeing opportunities. Access to NACK5 Stadium Omiya is a 20-minute walk from the east exit of JR Omiya Station, and with sightseeing spots along the way, the distance feels shorter than it sounds. The stadium is operated and managed by the Saitama City Parks and Greenery Association, and it is owned by Saitama City.
