Saitama Stadium 2002

Saitama Stadium 2002 is a soccer-specific stadium located in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, which was co-hosted by Japan, it is one of the finest soccer stadiums in the country, with a seating capacity of 63,700, the largest of its kind in Japan. Today, it hosts J.League matches and international A matches of the Japan national soccer team. The stadium is part of the urban park known as Saitama Stadium 2002 Park, which also includes futsal courts, sub-grounds, and sports clubs that use the surrounding grassy areas. Restaurants within the park are open to the public, allowing anyone to visit even outside of match days. Two giant video screens measuring 10 meters high and 20 meters wide enhance the excitement of live matches, earning the stadium a reputation as a sacred site for soccer fans. Saitama Stadium 2002 is located a 15-minute walk from Urawa-Misono Station on the Saitama Rapid Railway.
