Tsu Airport Line
The Tsu Airport Line is a high-speed ferry connecting Tsu Nagisamachi in Tsu City with Chubu Centrair International Airport in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. Traveling from Tsu City to central Nagoya typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours by using Kintetsu and Meitetsu rail lines, but by using the Tsu Airport Line, you can travel in roughly about half the time compared with going by train or car. Because it arrives and departs directly at the gateway of Chubu Centrair International Airport, it’s also a smooth, hassle-free option for business trips and travel, without the inconvenience of multiple transfers. The ferry operates at about 56 km/h and the cabin is fully barrier-free. With relatively little motion, wheelchair users can also enjoy a comfortable ride. To get to Tsu Nagisamachi Port, take the bus bound for "Airport Access Port (Tsu Nagisamachi)" from JR Tsu Station or Kintetsu Tsu Station; it takes about 10 minutes. A free parking lot is also provided, so arriving by car is no problem. In rough weather, services may be canceled, but on clear days you can enjoy expansive views such as the Suzuka Mountains along the way.
