Kego Park

Kego Park is a park in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, surrounded by the Solaria Terminal Building, Solaria Plaza, and Kego Shrine. It is spacious with very good visibility, designed with crime prevention in mind. It is also one of the venues for Music City Tenjin, held in autumn. At Christmas time, the park becomes “Tenjin Hikari Square,” lit with about 300,000 illumination lights. During that period, an “illumination train” also appears and is very popular with children. Located in the center of Tenjin, it is often used as a meeting spot. There are many playground structures, making it popular with families as well. Since powerful Kego Shrine is next door, it’s recommended to visit both. With its footbath, the shrine and park together offer a soothing escape from city bustle. Many events are also held on holidays, so joining an event can be a fun option. Access is about a 3-minute walk from Tenjin Station (Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line).
