Kawaguchi City Green Center

Kawaguchi City Green Center is a botanical garden located in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. It originally opened as the Kawaguchi Municipal Flower and Tree Botanical Garden, and in 1979 it was renamed Kawaguchi City Green Center. The garden features a large greenhouse where you can enjoy tropical plants year-round, as well as a Bird Center. There are also a Japanese iris garden, a mini train, and athletic facilities, making it a popular sightseeing spot for everyone from children to seniors. Next door is a flowing pool that operates as a swimming pool in summer and an ice-skating rink in winter, and this is also a very popular place for kids. In the Wanpaku Plaza, various mini trains run, and there are many beloved play attractions such as a roller slide, crystal balloons, and the Sora no Kids Wonderland, making it easy to enjoy a full day. There is also an observation slide where socks are required, so do not forget to bring them. If you do, socks are sold at the shop for emergencies. Access to Kawaguchi City Green Center is easy: take a bus for 25 minutes from the east exit of JR Kawaguchi Station, get off at “Green Center,” and it is right there.
