Kozanrou

Kozanro Nagasaki Chinatown Main Store is an ultra-famous and highly popular Nagasaki champon restaurant. Even though it is a large restaurant with 280 seats, waiting in line is practically guaranteed. It is one of Nagasaki’s Chinese restaurants, and the top favorite is the “Tokujō Champon” (Premium Champon). It is loaded with ingredients such as shark fin, meatballs, fish paste dumplings, squid, clams, pork, kamaboko, chikuwa, shrimp, shimeji mushrooms, bean sprouts, and cabbage. The rich, creamy chicken-bone broth is packed with umami from the many ingredients, and it pairs perfectly with thick, straight noodles that have a strong wheat aroma. It is one of the top dishes you should try when visiting Nagasaki. Access to Kozanro Nagasaki Chinatown Main Store by car is about 2 minutes from the “Dejima” interchange via National Route 324 after exiting at “Nagasaki Mangatsuka IC” on the Kyushu Cross-Island Expressway. By public transportation, take the tram from JR Nagasaki Station: ride Line 1 bound for Shofukuji for about 8 minutes, get off at “Shinchi Chinatown,” then walk about 10 minutes, or get off at “Tsukimachi” stop and walk about 4 minutes. The “Nagasaki Sightseeing Route Bus” operated by Nagasaki Bus is also very convenient for tourism, as it circulates major city attractions such as Glover Garden, Oura Cathedral, Oranda-zaka, Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, Dejima, Peace Park, and the Atomic Bomb Museum.
