Sushitama Kanazawa Station
Sushitama Kanazawa Station is a sushi restaurant located inside the commercial building “Anto” at Kanazawa Station, officially known as “Mawaru Toyama-wan Sushitama Kanazawa Station.” If you come to Kanazawa and think “sushi!”, this is a convenient spot where you can eat great sushi right after getting off the Shinkansen. It’s praised for fresh, delicious seafood mainly from Toyama Bay, including nodoguro, gasu-ebi (deep-sea shrimp), and shiro-ebi. This is an authentic conveyor-belt sushi style where the toppings and rice hold together well—true Hokuriku-style sushi. Prices are higher than typical kaiten-zushi, but many say the satisfaction matches (or exceeds) the cost. The “Asadore 3-kind assortment” offers one piece each of three kinds, making it easy to enjoy even if you come alone. The ara-jiru (fish soup) is also a proper, flavorful ara-jiru. If you don’t want to choose, there’s also an “Osusume assortment” with 10 pieces. Access: immediately by the ticket gates of Hokuriku Shinkansen Kanazawa Station.
