OMIYA SONIC CITY

Omiya Sonic City is a redevelopment district located in Saitama City. Commonly known as Sonic City, the area is divided into the Sonic City Building (31 floors), the Large Hall (4 floors), and the Palace Hotel (13 floors). When it was built, the Sonic City Building was the tallest commercial building in Saitama. Palace Hotel Omiya is a hotel with 204 rooms, restaurants and a bar, and 19 banquet halls, and it also offers a heated pool and sauna, making it enjoyable not only for overnight stays but also for day use. Sonic City Hall includes a large hall, a small hall, and an international conference room, hosting a wide range of events. On the first floor there is also Kanetsuka Park, planted with zelkova and cherry trees, where events are sometimes held as well. This is a comprehensive convention complex that sends industry, culture, and information from Saitama to all of Japan. Access to Omiya Sonic City is easy with a 3-minute walk from the west exit of JR Omiya Station. It is also connected via the station concourse, making it popular with tourists.
