Sapporo Beer Museum

Sapporo Beer Museum is one of the facilities within Sapporo Garden Park and serves as a museum dedicated to Sapporo Beer. It is popular as a sightseeing spot because it is described as the only beer museum in Japan. The building is a brick structure built in the Meiji era, and until 2003 it operated as the Sapporo Beer Sapporo Factory—today’s museum occupies that former factory site. A large brick chimney with the nostalgic logo stands out as a photo spot that clearly signals "Sapporo Beer." Vines growing along the side of the building add an atmospheric sense of history. Self-guided visits are free, but the recommended option is the Premium Tour (500 yen for adults). Tour participants can drink beers that are only available through the tour, making it especially appealing to beer fans. The museum also exhibits historic posters and offers opportunities to see and touch ingredients like hops. For access, it is about a 10-minute walk from Higashi-Kuyakusho-mae Station on the Toho Subway Line.
