Noji Onsen Hotel

Noji Onsen Hotel is a hot spring ryokan where you can enjoy the milky-white waters of Noji Onsen—one of Tohoku’s signature hot spring experiences—100% free-flowing from the source. Built at an elevation of 1,200 meters, the hotel is popular for its seasonal scenery such as snow and autumn foliage, as well as beautiful night views. The onsen lineup is especially diverse, including the open-air "Kimen-no-Yu," which is illuminated at night for a magical atmosphere, and the "Tengu-no-Yu," designed to solve the common complaint of getting cold when moving from indoor baths to outdoor baths by allowing you to transition while staying in the water. Another highlight is "Senju-no-Yu," where three hinoki cypress baths of different temperatures sit side by side, and you can see steam rising from the Noji Onsen source outside the windows. There is also the women-only open-air bath "Hagoromo-no-Yu," the women’s large bath "Ougi-no-Yu," the men’s large bath "Tsurugi-no-Yu," and a sauna. Guest rooms are all traditional Japanese-style rooms, and meals focus on Japanese cuisine made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients. Access to Noji Onsen Hotel is about 50 minutes by free shuttle bus from the bus stop "JR Fukushima West Exit Station." Day-use bathing is also available.
