Grandeco Snow Resort
Grandeco Snow Resort is a ski resort in Kitashiobara known for its high-quality powder snow. It offers 13 courses, ranging from a beginner-friendly 900-meter run with a maximum slope of 10 degrees to an advanced 1,400-meter run with a maximum slope of 33 degrees. At the base of the slopes, there is a kids’ park with a practice area, snow-play zone, and sledding area, making it especially recommended for families. There is also a free rest space called the "Family Room." For dining, guests can use the cafeteria on the first floor of the ski center and a cafe restaurant located at an elevation of 1,390 meters. At the cafeteria, you can also try the "Golden Sio Ramen" supervised by "Kiichi," a famous Kitakata ramen shop. For accommodation, the nearby Urabandai Grandeco Tokyu Hotel is a convenient choice right by the slopes, featuring an open-air bath that was renovated in 2017. Access to Grandeco Snow Resort is about 100 minutes by shuttle bus from Koriyama Station, or about 60 minutes by shuttle bus from Inawashiro Station.
