Sansuiso

Sansuiso is a ryokan where you can fully enjoy Tsuchiyu Onsen, a hot spring area with over 1,000 years of history. The signature bath at Sansuiso is the "Taishi-no-Yu," an open-air bath where you can soak while looking directly at the powerful, two-tiered Arakawa Waterfall. The "Fuchi-no-Yu" offers an indoor setting with a view down into the gorge, and features a variety of bathing styles such as deep and shallow baths, a bucket bath, and the "Miharashi-no-Yu" lookout bath. The largest bath, "Taki-no-Yu," is surrounded by glass, creating an exceptionally open and airy atmosphere. These baths rotate between men and women, but the men-only "Tsurezure-no-Yu" and women-only "Tamayura-no-Yu" are available for bathing 24 hours a day, which is another great highlight. The hot spring water at Sansuiso is drawn in at an abundant 230 liters per minute from Tsuchiyu Onsen’s source, and is gently adjusted with natural spring water to an easy-to-enjoy temperature. To reach Sansuiso, take the free shuttle bus for about 30 minutes from Fukushima Station, or use the free shuttle for about 5 minutes from the Tsuchiyu Onsen bus stop. The surrounding area is a hot spring town, so you can also enjoy activities like visiting multiple footbaths.
