Pieri Moriyama

Pieris Moriyama is a large shopping complex in Moriyama City. It opened in 2008 but later faced a period of poor performance as more commercial facilities opened nearby. In 2014, it relaunched as Lake & Happy Side Mall Pieris Moriyama and transformed into a well-rounded destination with a wide range of specialty shops for fashion and lifestyle goods, plus restaurants and a food court. It also features "Wakuwaku Hiroba," a direct-from-farm produce market where local farmers bring in fresh agricultural products, and an indoor amusement facility that kids love, making it enjoyable for everyone from adults to children. Outdoors, visitors will find "Moriyama Yumoto Suishun," one of the largest hot spring facilities in the Kansai region with sweeping views over Lake Biwa, as well as an adventure athletics area with elevated obstacle courses at heights of 4 and 8 meters and a ZIP line. With these attractions, it’s an easy place to escape the everyday and spend a fun, refreshing day. Free shuttle buses run to Pieris Moriyama from both JR Katata Station and JR Moriyama Station. By car, it is about 30 minutes from Mano IC on the Kosei Road.
