Rarara Ramen
Rararara Ramen Saga Station North Exit is a local favorite ramen shop in Saga Prefecture. Its standard offering is a tonkotsu (pork bone) soup with thin noodles. Options range from a lighter “assari tonkotsu” that’s great after drinking, to richer flavors like “Junkoku,” as well as “Goku Miso,” “Tan-ton Men,” and a vegetable-heavy “Yasai Ramen” based on a lighter tonkotsu soup. Another popular choice is “Kin no Negigoma,” topped with plenty of scallions and sesame. Although it’s tonkotsu, the shop uses only parts that best extract umami, simmering long hours to draw out richness and flavor; the result is a creamy, full-bodied but not heavy white soup that pairs well with firm thin noodles. The chashu topping is also praised for concentrated pork flavor and a pleasantly crisp bite even in the fatty portions. Access: by public transportation, it is right by the north exit of JR Saga Station. By car, it is about 12 minutes (about 7 km) from Saga-Yamato IC via National Route 263.
