Yakiniku・Reimen Pyonpyonsha Morioka Station Store
Yakiniku & Reimen Pyon Pyon Sha Morioka Station Front is a restaurant serving Morioka Reimen, a famous local noodle specialty of Morioka City, along with yakiniku featuring Iwate’s branded wagyu beef. The restaurant is located inside the "Jaran Building," where the first and second floors are mainly general seating, while the third floor is reserved seating for general guests and group tours. The name "Jaran" is said to come from a dialect word from Korea’s Jeju Island meaning something like a soothing lullaby, and it was named with the idea that the feelings behind a mother’s lullaby called "Jaran" could help save the world. Two recommended set options are the "Reimen Yakiniku Set" and "Iwate Zanmai." The Reimen Yakiniku Set includes Morioka Reimen, your choice of noodles from seven options, a three-kind yakiniku assortment, and mini namul. Iwate Zanmai is a popular station-front specialty that lets you enjoy Maezawa beef along with three signature Iwate wagyu brands on a single plate. The location is also a major plus: it is about a three-minute walk from JR Morioka Station, heading northeast along Prefectural Route 2 on the left side.
