Hakutakarokusuien

Hakutaka Rokusuien is a sake-themed facility in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, operated by Hakutaka Co., Ltd. Hakutaka is also known for having its sake “Hakutaka” selected as Jingu Goryoshu, the sacred sake offered to the deities at Ise Jingu. Access is about a 7-minute walk from Hanshin Railway Nishinomiya Station, and about a 20-minute walk from JR Kobe Line Nishinomiya Station. The building is recreated in the image of the Tatsuma family residence, the brewery family behind Hakutaka. Inside are a shop called “Birokuichi” offering a selection based on the theme of “new ways to enjoy sake,” a casual bar “Kura BAR” where you can sample Hakutaka’s signature labels as well as Rokusuien exclusives, the long-established Edo-style eel restaurant “Tokyo Chikuyotei Nishinomiya,” the rental venue “Miyamizu Hall,” and exhibition spaces such as the “Hakutaka Shukokan” and “Lifestyle Exhibition Room,” which display sake-brewing tools, historical materials, and everyday items from the brewery family spanning from the late Edo period through the early Showa era. It is a must-see for sake fans and a place that carries on the brewing culture of Nada Gogo, a historic sake-producing region said to account for over 25% of Japan’s sake shipments.
