Hachi Highlands Ski Resort
Hachi Kogen Ski Resort is a popular ski resort in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture, known for its spacious slopes and some of the best snow quality in Kansai. Together with the neighboring Hachi-Kita Kogen Ski Resort, it is commonly referred to as “Hachi / Hachi-Kita.” Access is via the JR San’in Main Line to Yoka Station, then take Zentan Bus and get off at stops such as “Hachibuse-guchi,” close by. The resort offers a variety of courses, from advanced runs like the “Superstar Course” descending from around the summit area of Mt. Takamaru, to beginner-friendly options such as the “Central Gelande Quad Course.” Via the summit of Mt. Hachibuse, you can also use the adjacent Hachi-Kita Kogen Ski Resort, and together the two form one of the largest ski areas in western Japan. The “Kids’ Park,” great for families, allows popular snow striders, and also features activities such as snow tubing and sledding—making it a lively spot filled with children’s laughter.
