Kutsurogijuku Chiyotaki Inn
Kutsurogi-yado Chiyotaki is an inn located on a hilltop with panoramic views over the Higashiyama Onsen hot spring town. With a strong focus on cuisine and drinks, it offers plenty of seasonal Aizu ingredients. For dinner, you can choose between a buffet and a Japanese set meal, and modern-style interpretations of Aizu local dishes are especially popular. The inn also keeps 30 or more varieties of Aizu local sake available at all times, which can be enjoyed with meals or after bathing at the sake bar, "Jizake-no-Yakata." The hot spring water is a smooth sulfate spring, known to be effective for conditions such as arteriosclerosis and neuralgia. Baths are located in two areas—the top floor and the second floor. The top-floor "Yuzuki-no-Yu" features both an indoor panoramic bath and a panoramic open-air bath, where you can enjoy night views, starry skies, and seasonal nature. The second-floor "Fumoto-yu" is a semi-open-air bath facing the hot spring town and opened in 2017. Access to Chiyotaki is about a 5-minute walk from the "Higashiyama Onsen Station" stop on the sightseeing loop bus. A shuttle service is also available from the "Aizu Bukeyashiki-mae" bus stop.
