Narita Dream Farm
Narita Yume Farm is a tourist farm spanning about 90,000 tsubo (about 300,000 m²), roughly seven times the size of Tokyo Dome. Its origin was Akiba Farm, and in 1987 it transitioned from a single dairy farm into a tourist farm, driven by the strong desire of founder (and first president) Hiroyuki Akiba to ‘make dairy products we ourselves are satisfied with.’ Because the farm aims to produce truly authentic dairy as its own manufacturer, its dairy products are said to be on a different level. Must-try items include the farm’s most popular ‘Fresh Milk Soft-Serve’ and ‘Homemade Yogurt.’ The soft-serve is made with fresh milk, has a smooth mouthfeel, and is richly flavored. The homemade yogurt has a chewy texture and won the top gold prize at the FOODEX JAPAN 2014 Local Yogurt Grand Prix. Beyond eating, you can also interact with animals, enjoy play facilities with family, and join hands-on experiences such as milking. Another strong recommendation is the campsite. With the current camping boom, this farm offers seven campsite types, accommodating everyone from families with small children to solo campers. Access: free shuttle bus available from JR Namegawa Station.
