ヤマザキマザック美術館
The Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Art is an art museum located in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It showcases the collection assembled by Teruyuki Yamazaki, the founder of Yamazaki Mazak. The main focus is French art from the 18th to the 20th century, along with displays of glass art and furniture. Visitors can borrow an audio guide at the entrance and follow a chronological journey through 300 years of French art history. Works by famous artists such as Picasso, Chagall, and Monet are also on display. Some exhibits can be touched directly, and photography is permitted, making the museum relatively open and accessible. The museum also includes a library, where visitors can view books related to the exhibits by reservation. The on-site restaurant remains open even after the museum closes. Adjacent to the museum is the Yamazaki Mazak gallery in the office building, where visitors can learn about the history of machine tools and see the latest equipment. The Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Art is directly connected to Shinsakae-machi Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line, making access extremely convenient.
