名古屋港水族館
Nagoya Port Aquarium is an aquarium located at Nagoya Port Garden Pier, just a 3-minute walk from the subway station "Nagoyako." It is one of Nagoya’s top tourist attractions, featuring Japan’s largest floor area and welcoming more than 2 million visitors each year. Inside, you can see around 500 species and 50,000 marine animals at all times. A standout feature is that you can watch killer whale training, an experience offered at only two aquariums in Japan. Their dynamic jumps and powerful swimming are a major highlight that excites both adults and children. The dolphin performance is also popular, staged in Japan’s largest pool. The energetic leaps under the blue sky paired with the Ferris wheel next door create a highly photogenic scene. Beyond shows, one of the most popular exhibits is the Japanese sardine tank, where about 35,000 sardines swim together like a "tornado," a mesmerizing spectacle unique to Nagoya Port Aquarium that many visitors want to see again and again.
