Kariya Highway Oasis is reached by taking a bus from JR Kariya Station for about 35 minutes and getting off at the "Kariya Highway Oasis" stop. It is a popular destination where you can comfortably spend an entire day, featuring the "Central Plaza" filled with limited-time shops you can only find here, cafes, and sweets, as well as a park area packed with attractions for both kids and adults, a giant Ferris wheel, and even a natural hot spring. In Central Plaza 1F, one standout gourmet item is "Kari-chan Curry." The spicy-and-savory "Taiwan Curry," made by combining a secret curry recipe with minced meat, is a popular menu item with a satisfying kick. There are also many other must-visit eateries you’ll want to return to, such as restaurants serving oyakodon made with Nagoya Cochin chicken, and the soy-sauce tonkotsu ramen shop "Ramen Yokozuna," which has a history of more than 40 years since opening. In the park area, popular attractions include the main merry-go-round and the 18-seat mini train "Kamo-Kamo Poppo." Under the blue sky, it’s common to see parents enjoying go-karts together with their children.
