Hoshino Resort Kai Izumo

Hoshino Resorts KAI Izumo is a luxury hot-spring ryokan in Tamatsukuri Onsen, Matsue City, where you can experience the renowned Hoshino Resorts style. Every room (all Japanese-style) has a private open-air bath made of either hinoki cypress or Shigaraki ware, and guests can rest on the KAI-original futon known as “Fuwakumo Sleep.” Amenities are high-end, including 100% linen yukata and premium toiletries. Dinner is a kaiseki course featuring local specialties such as shijimi clams and Matsuba crab, while breakfast is a “local breakfast” incorporating ingredients mentioned in the Izumo no Kuni Fudoki. Traditional kagura is performed in the lobby daily, guests can enjoy tea, and bamboo lantern lighting can be enjoyed at night. The “beauty bath” water is smooth like lotion, and in addition to in-room baths, there is a large public bath. You can also experience bathing methods inspired by the Izumo no Kuni Fudoki.
