Nagasaki Seaside Park
Nagasaki Mizube-no-Mori Park is a waterfront park created in 2003 along the inner bay of Nagasaki Port. In the following year, 2004, it received the Good Design Gold Award in the Architecture / Environmental Design category. Inside the park, canals run through the grounds, and the combination of water and greenery creates a refreshing place of relaxation loved by local Nagasaki residents. You can enjoy water play and strolling along the canal, and the “Water Garden,” which uses spring water from the mountains, is an especially cool and pleasant spot. When you stop by to rest during a walk on a warm spring day or a hot summer day, take off your shoes or sandals and socks and cool down. It is a recommended place to take a break when you feel travel fatigue. The “Mizube-no-Mori Park Restaurant” floating along the canal and surrounded by nature is also popular as a romantic night spot. Access by public transportation: from JR Nagasaki Station, take the tram bound for Shokakuji-shita, get off at “Tsukimachi,” then transfer to the tram bound for Ishibashi and get off at “Medical Center.” By bus, take the bus bound for Tanoue from the JR Nagasaki Station East Exit bus rotary and get off at “Oura Kaigan-dori.” By car, it takes about 4 minutes from the Nagasaki Station area.
