Senrei Sushi

Senrei Sushi (Sendai Station 3F branch) is a sushi shop in the “Sushi-dori” area just outside the Shinkansen Central Gate at JR “Sendai Station.” Miyagi is blessed with rich fishing grounds (sometimes called one of the world’s top three), and Sushi-dori gathers famous, popular sushi shops offering very fresh seafood and Miyagi-specific toppings. Senrei Sushi is especially popular and is a standing, counter-only style shop. Enjoying freshly made sushi immediately after it’s formed is a blissful moment, and chatting with the sushi chef is part of the fun. As it’s directly run by a fish shop, the toppings are fresh, and you can order from a single piece. Over 40 types of toppings are available, plus recommended sets that bundle the shop’s best picks. There is also a seated branch on the 1st floor near the West Exit north side, so you can choose based on your needs. Its “pop in quickly before you leave” location is a major plus, and Sushi-dori also has fun features like Date Masamune’s equestrian statue and graphic panels explaining Miyagi sushi.
