Hotel Monte Hermana Sendai is a new-brand hotel in the Hotel Monterey group and features a large public bath. The interior uses a calm design linking Spain and the Date domain motif. Rooms range from standard single to deluxe twin; with extra beds, up to 3 guests can stay in one room. A women-only floor is also available, praised for security and amenities. The public bath “Aone” uses a male/female alternating system, with different baths by day of week; there is only one sauna, also used alternately by gender. Access: about 3 minutes on foot from JR “Sendai Station.” From the west exit, head right, pass through the 2nd-floor atrium of the high-rise “AER,” and the front desk is on the 2nd floor of the “Sorala Building.” AER’s 31st-floor free observation terrace offers panoramic views of Sendai and is recommended for night scenery too.
