Wangan Nagashima Parking Area

Bay Coast Nagashima Parking Area, located next to the Nagashima IC on the Isewangan Expressway, is one of Japan’s largest parking areas, with parking capacity for 207 vehicles. Its popularity comes from the convenience of being easy to drop into, including access from local roads. In addition to a spacious restaurant and a food court where you can enjoy regional favorites such as "Ise udon," it also features a free footbath using natural hot-spring water from Nagashima Onsen, which is famous for leaving skin feeling silky smooth—an unexpected highlight for a service area. A scenic observation deck is another attraction, but it is available only on the outbound (down) side. It’s highly convenient not only for visitors stopping before heading to major nearby attractions such as the leading amusement destination "Nagashima Spa Land" or the large-scale "Nabana no Sato Illumination," but also for drivers using it for timing adjustments or restroom breaks before traffic jams. However, note that if you enter the expressway via the Nagashima IC entrance when heading home, you cannot stop at the parking area, so extra care is needed.
