Kochi Tourist Information Center
Tosaterasu (Kochi Tourist Information Center) is an information hub located in “Kochi Tabi Hiroba” in front of Kochi Station, supporting travel throughout Kochi. It covers tourism information across the prefecture, guiding you through six regions such as the Aki–Muroto area, Monobe River area, and Shimanto area. In addition to providing guidance, it offers services like rental bicycles and luggage delivery to accommodation facilities. Foreign-language support is also available, making it a reliable resource for tourists. Inside, there’s an “active area” with a fun 3D trick art spot where you can pose as if Ryoma is doing a “kabedon.” It also sells the “Ryoma no Kyujitsu” one-day streetcar pass. In front, large statues of Bakumatsu figures Takechi Hanpeita, Sakamoto Ryoma, and Nakaoka Shintaro stand as an impressive photo spot. There are also Anpanman objects, making it enjoyable for both children and adults. Because it supports your trip in detail, it can quickly help you find and reach lesser-known sightseeing spots. Access is a 1-minute walk from Kochi Station South Exit—visible immediately after exiting the station.
