Yukemurino Yado Miwanso

Yukemuri no Yado Biwanso is a hot-spring ryokan in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Overlooking Nanao West Bay, it is the oldest ryokan in Wakura Onsen, founded in 1804, and is known for serving seasonal seafood. It’s a calm onsen area with gentle seaside views of Nanao Bay, and it was also visited by Tekkan and Akiko Yosano. The inn draws about 500 koku of hot water per day, used lavishly in the large public baths and open-air baths. The rotenburo for both men and women faces Nanao Bay, letting you soak while looking out at the sea. The women’s bath features a curved ceiling inlaid with akoya shells, making it feel like you’re in an aquarium. Rooms with private open-air baths can offer spectacular views including the Notojima Bridge and Twin Bridge, letting you enjoy the scenery in privacy. Right after entering the front lobby, you can also take in an outstanding ocean view. Rental fishing rods are available so you can casually enjoy fishing, and there are kids’ meals, making it popular with families as well. Access: free shuttle bus about 5 minutes from Wakuraonsen Station.
