TANBARA LAVENDER PARK
Tambara Lavender Park is a highland park that appears only during the summer lavender season. The view of 50,000 lavender plants—the largest in the Kanto region—feels like stepping into a fairy-tale world. When people think of lavender, many imagine the summer landscapes of Hokkaido, but here in Numata, Gunma, you can experience it too. In addition to lavender, the park also has a sunflower garden, allowing you to enjoy a summer flower collaboration. The park’s paths let you stroll along gentle slopes in about 20 minutes. If you continue upward, you’ll reach a large observation deck at an elevation of 1,350 m, where you can see a grand panoramic view of lavender fields. How about enjoying a sweet treat like “lavender soft-serve” while admiring the flowers? With beautiful scenery, cool breezes, and a comfortable moment on hot summer days, it’s a great place to spend a refreshing time.
