Fisherman's Cuisine Myojin Maru Main Store

Fisherman Cuisine Myojinmaru Main Branch is a seafood restaurant famous for serving straw-seared katsuo no tataki. It is the main branch of the nationwide Myojinmaru chain (the first shop opened inside Hirome Market). The main branch offers both sunken kotatsu seating and chair seating, plus private rooms, so families can relax and enjoy the meal. With the motto “Fishermen catch it, fishermen sear it,” you can enjoy the powerful straw-fire searing performance with your eyes and the flavor with your palate. The must-try is of course straw-seared bonito tataki; following Kochi tradition, it’s recommended to eat it with salt. At the main branch, the tataki is served on Kutani ware. Enjoy the flavor of bonito caught by pole-and-line fishing. By catching in-house, producing in-house, and serving in-house, the restaurant delivers deeply committed fisherman cuisine—enjoy it at the main branch. Other seafood dishes are also fresh, and there are course meals; pair fish dishes with local sake to fully taste Kochi. Access is a 1-minute walk from Tosaden “Horidzume” tram stop.
