えびせんべいの里 中部国際空港セントレア店
Ebi Senbei no Sato Chubu Centrair International Airport Store is a specialty shrimp-cracker shop located on the 4th floor of the airport, about a 7-minute walk from Chubu Centrair International Airport Station on the Meitetsu Line, inside the Chochin Yokocho area. It is a famous shop often praised as one of the best places in Japan for shrimp crackers. Founded in 1948 and operating seven stores mainly around Nagoya, the brand’s crackers are known for their crisp, light crunch and addictive taste. The president personally handles purchasing to secure as much high-quality shrimp as possible, even down to the last gram. The flagship item is "Hamasen Ebi Usu-yaki," made by mixing carefully selected shrimp paste into the dough and baking it thin for a delicate, crispy finish. Another top seller alongside Hamasen is "Tako Taka," small octopus deep-fried after grilling. The lineup also includes wasabi-flavored crackers, sesame varieties, ume plum flavor, nori seaweed flavor, and even versions sandwiched with cheese, offering plenty of choices for souvenirs. While many travelers and businesspeople stop in to shop for gifts, you’ll also see locals who visit Centrair just to buy these shrimp crackers even without taking a flight.
