Kosekiya Bekkan
Ginzan Onsen Kosekiya Bekkan is a charming hot-spring ryokan in a traditional wooden Japanese-style building. From JR Oishida Station, take a bus about 40 minutes and get off at “Ginzan Onsen”; the ryokan is right nearby. Located in the very middle of Ginzan Onsen, it is very convenient for strolling around the hot-spring town. In winter, the warm glow of gas lamps illuminates the snow-dusted trees right beside the inn. Inside, cleanliness is well maintained, Wi-Fi is available, and guests find it comfortable despite the historic atmosphere. The ryokan has two bathing areas filled with Ginzan’s excellent free-flowing waters, offering a soothing time. A shuttle bus also runs regularly to the sister property “Ginzan-so” a short distance away, allowing guests to use its hot springs as well. Meals feature local specialties such as Yamagata beef and Obanazawa’s famous watermelon, and breakfast includes “Daikon-meshi,” which also appeared in a famous TV drama set in Ginzan Onsen. Delicious meals, gently warming high-quality hot springs, and a Taisho-romantic building come together for an experience that reflects Kosekiya Bekkan’s distinctive hospitality.
