Misasa Kan
Misasa-kan is a castle-style traditional Japanese inn standing along the Mitoku River, where you can enjoy a beautifully maintained Japanese garden and a refined atmosphere. The highlight is its natural hot spring: a private on-site source within the property, free-flowing, and said to have the largest water volume in the Misasa Onsen area. The concept is to enjoy it by “soaking,” “inhaling,” and “drinking” (a style of onsen enjoyment often associated with Misasa’s radon-rich waters). Meals feature seasonal, luxurious, and colorful dishes using abundant local mountain, sea, and countryside ingredients from Tottori. Room types range from standard tatami rooms to Japanese rooms with private open-air onsen baths, Japanese rooms that use beds, Western-style rooms, and special suites—so you can choose to fit your travel style. A special plan offers rental of original-design yukata (adult women only), perfect for strolling the Misasa Onsen streets in style. Access: by car, from Yubara IC (Yonago Expressway) via Routes 313→482→170, or from Innosho IC (Chugoku Expressway) via the Ningyo Toge / Route 179 route. By train, there is a shuttle bus from JR Kurayoshi Station. There are also direct highway buses to Misasa Onsen from Osaka/Kobe, and highway buses to JR Kurayoshi Station from Okayama, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Tokyo.
