Shimane Winery

Shimane Winery is a winery in Izumo City. At the wine brewing building, anyone can tour the production process for free. Inside, you can sample and buy about 10 kinds of seasonal Shimane wines and grape juice, making it enjoyable for both children and adults. There is also a paid wine bar. You can casually enjoy soft-serve ice cream, Shimane wagyu croquettes, and more, and there’s also a BBQ corner where you can eat premium Shimane wagyu paired with wine. The winery has snack areas and is popular with families. You can also create your own bottle with an original label, adding to the fun and your knowledge. In this greenhouse-grape-producing area of Izumo, the winery’s South-European-style architecture makes it a pleasant place to learn about wine. Access: get off at Ichibata Railway “Hamayama Koen Kitaguchi Station,” then walk about 15 minutes. If you plan to drink alcohol, use public transportation.
