Okinawa World: Culture Kingdom & Gyokusendo is a sightseeing facility in Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture where you can experience “all of Okinawa” in one place. On a vast site of about 54,000 tsubo, there are many attractions. The natural monument “Gyokusendo Cave” has over 1 million stalactites and a total length of 5,000 meters, making it one of the largest in Japan. The group dance performance “Super Eisa” lets you enjoy multiple traditional arts at once, including eisa and lion dance; it’s best to plan your movement to match show times. In the National Registered Tangible Cultural Property “Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town,” you can see many old houses over 100 years old, including registered cultural properties. You can also try hands-on experiences like indigo dyeing, Ryukyu glassmaking, and pottery. There are also unique areas like the Habu Museum Park and a tropical fruit garden, making it a famous Okinawa sightseeing course. Access is by bus from Naha Bus Terminal; get off at the Gyokusendo-mae bus stop and walk 2 minutes.
