Awara Onsen Seifuso

Awara Onsen Seifuso is a hot spring ryokan in Awara City, Fukui Prefecture. Its main attraction is one of Hokuriku’s largest and most elegant garden open-air baths. The hot spring facilities include a women’s bath, a men’s bath, and a footbath, and the luxurious bathing lineup features the garden open-air bath, a ceramic bath fired in a large Shigaraki-ware kiln, an octagonal seated bath that feels like it might bring good luck, a grand-scale indoor bath, and a micro-bubble "silk bath," with generous use of natural stone and hinoki cypress. Private baths and day-use bathing are also available. There are rooms with open-air baths, but the public bath facilities alone offer so many options that you can fully enjoy the ryokan even without an in-room bath. With modern interior guest rooms and onsen time, you can spend a truly indulgent stay. At night, a super-luxurious buffet packed with Hokuriku seafood and local ingredients is served, and breakfast is also a Japanese/Western buffet with 40 varieties. Course meals are also available, but the buffet can be a better value for those who want to enjoy more. To get to Awara Onsen Seifuso, it is a 3-minute walk from Awara-Yunomachi Station, or about 10 minutes by taxi from JR Awaraonsen Station, and a free shuttle is available with reservation.
