Kyokoku no Yu Yado Obokekyo Mannaka is an inn built along the Oboke Gorge, surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Yoshino River. Guest rooms include Japanese, Western, and mixed Japanese-Western styles to suit group size and plans. Bathing options include a large public bath, an open-air bath, and reservable private baths. Because it stands at the confluence of the Yoshino River and the tributary Fujikawa Valley, the open-air bath offers sweeping views of Oboke Gorge’s seasonal scenery below, letting you relax to the sound of the river. There is also a ganbanyoku (hot stone spa) that promotes sweating and helps flush waste, supporting natural healing. Dinner features colorful seasonal dishes centered on local mountain and river ingredients, including regional specialties like soba-subeshi and the traditional “Ao-daizu Issho Tofu.” The locally popular “O-Mihime Nabe,” finished with Tokushima’s local sake-brewery miso and soy sauce, is a signature hotpot.
