Suitenkaku

Yukei Kohan Suitenkaku is a ryokan in Matsue Shinjiko Onsen, Matsue City, standing directly in front of the wide-open Lake Shinji—one of the defining landscapes of the “city of water,” Matsue. The view includes Yomegashima island right in front. From the rooms you can enjoy sunset, night views, and even morning shijimi-clam fishing on the lake, so the scenery never gets old. The hot spring is also called an “enmusubi” (matchmaking) bath and is known for beauty-skin effects, making it popular with women. Baths include indoor and open-air; women use a hinoki open-air bath, while men use a rock open-air bath. There is also a reservable private open-air bath (for guests only), convenient for families with a booking. Clean rooms include Japanese-style and Japanese-Western rooms, and the inn supports barrier-free access (including baths). Rooms with private open-air baths are also available. Dinner features San’in specialties such as the Lake Shinji “Seven Delicacies,” Shimane wagyu, and Matsuba crab.
