Airport restaurant
Kuko Shokudo (Airport Cafeteria) is a cafeteria on the first floor of Naha Airport in Okinawa. You can eat Okinawan cuisine there. It feels like an in-house cafeteria, but it’s open to the public and is considered a hidden gem for tourists. You can get Okinawan home-style dishes such as Okinawa soba, fu champuru, and soki soba at reasonable prices. Because you can quickly eat even when you’re waiting for your flight, it’s popular as “cheap, fast, and tasty,” and it’s a great place to catch up on Okinawan dishes you might have missed. While many airport restaurants are pricey and have long lines, Kuko Shokudo serves quickly and has fast turnover, so you often don’t have to wait long. It’s a ticket-vending style cafeteria: buy a meal ticket and hand it to staff to prepare. Access is about a 3-minute walk from Yui Rail Naha Airport Station. It’s a bit hard to find: head for JAL on the first floor near the entrance, then go further back—once you reach JAL, it’s close.
