Yui Rail
Yui Rail is a monorail line in Okinawa connecting Naha Airport Station to Tedako-Uranishi Station in Urasoe City. Officially called the Okinawa Urban Monorail Line, it’s a popular way for tourists to get around. It is Okinawa’s only rail line, operated as a two-car, one-man train. The cars are colorfully designed in an “Okinawa-like” style, and even riding is fun because you can look down over the city as you travel. Convenient 1-day and 2-day unlimited ride passes are available and offer great value for sightseeing. These passes also include discounts at tourist facilities, making them recommended for visitors using public transit. Stops are near many attractions such as Shurijo Castle, Sueyoshi Park, Yachimun no Sato / Tsuboya Yachimun Street, and Kokusai-dori, so you can tour efficiently. Access to Yui Rail (Naha Airport Station) is described as a 10-minute walk from Naha Airport Station; staying at a hotel along the line can be very convenient if you fly in.
