Kagoshima City View Bus

The Kagoshima City View Bus is a sightseeing loop bus that circulates through tourist areas in Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Two designs operate: a red-and-green classic-style bus and a sea-and-dolphin-themed bus. It runs 19 trips per day at roughly 30-minute intervals. The route loops around major sights such as the Saigo statue area, Shiroyama and Sengan-en, Kagoshima Aquarium, and Tenmonkan (about 80 minutes). A single ride costs 190 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. A 1-day pass that allows unlimited rides on the City View Bus, city trams, and city buses costs 600 yen for adults and 300 yen for children; it also includes discount coupons for tourist facilities, making it a great deal for sightseeing. There is also a separate night-view course (about 60 minutes) which requires a different ticket/fee (adult 200 yen / child 100 yen). Access: it departs from Kagoshima-Chuo Station East Exit bus stop “Higashi 4,” and you can get on/off at each stop.
