Yamagata Prefecture Tendo Hot Springs & Gourmet Dining Tendo Hotel

Yamagata Prefecture Tendo Onsen “Bimi Kyushin no Yado Tendo Hotel” is a hot-spring hotel located about 4 minutes from JR Tendo Station by shuttle bus (advance reservation required). In the center of Tendo Onsen, it is a long-established hotel with a 100-year history. As the name “Bimi Kyushin” (“seeking true deliciousness”) suggests, its pride is its Japanese/Western/Chinese kaiseki cuisine using Yamagata’s select beef, Yamagata rice “Tsuyahime,” fresh local vegetables, and seafood. Each of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine has its own head chef, and carefully crafted dishes are served by specialist cooks. The varied meal content—not only Japanese cuisine—also appeals to overseas guests. For small children, baby-food menus are available so the whole family can enjoy dining together. The hot spring is a calcium-sodium sulfate spring with no added water, and the large bath is among the biggest in Tendo, allowing guests to relax and ease daily fatigue. Children’s shower chairs and baby shampoo are also provided, making it safe and comfortable to bathe even with small children.
